The menu at Baci is a masterful showcase of authentic Italian and Mediterranean-inspired dishes, expertly prepared using scratch recipes and the freshest whole foods. Seafood lovers will find themselves enchanted by specialties such as the Chilean Sea Bass, whose buttery, tender flakes meld flawlessly with subtle seasonings, or the exquisite Grilled Octopus that offers a delicate char and tender bite. The Sea Urchin is another standout, delivering an indulgent splash of oceanic richness.

For those craving classic Italian favorites, the Osso Buco envelops you in a slow-cooked symphony of tender veal shanks, while the Scampi in Lobster Sauce captivates with its luxurious, fragrant blend of garlic and lobster-infused richness. Meat aficionados will be delighted by sumptuous offerings like the Berkshire Tomahawk Pork Chop adorned with black truffle demi-glace, or the perfectly seasoned Filet Mignon al Cognac, melting effortlessly with mushrooms and shallots infused with cognac's smoky warmth.

Vegetarian guests will appreciate the thoughtfully prepared Eggplant Parmigiana, featuring thick, crispy eggplant steaks baked to bubbling perfection with mozzarella and marinara sauce, ensuring no one misses out on bold, satisfying flavor.

The salads, including the fresh and creamy Burrata Salad, the vibrant Baci Garden Salad, and the classic Caprese Salad, provide refreshing complements, balancing the meal beautifully. Pair your dish with a meticulously curated selection of wines—like a crisp Sauvignon Blanc or robust red wine—or indulge in the house-crafted cocktails such as the iconic Negroni to elevate every bite and sip.

Patrons repeatedly praise Baci for its "exceptional scratch recipes" and "fresh food," describing their dining experience as “old school done right,” where every detail from the impeccable service to the elegant ambiance is handled with care. One guest described their pork chop with truffle sauce as “so decadent and tasty,” while another highlighted the melt-in-your-mouth quality of the filet mignon. The restaurant’s ability to graciously accommodate large parties without compromising on attentiveness and service quality makes it equally welcoming for intimate dinners and celebratory gatherings alike.

Ultimately, Baci Restaurant stands out not just for its refined kitchen mastery, but for creating an inviting space where tradition meets contemporary elegance. Whether savoring a perfectly cooked Atlantic Salmon Piccata infused with bright lemon and caper notes, or sharing a decadent Tiramisu that lingers long after the last bite, guests leave with a deep sense of satisfaction and a desire to return time and again.

Wow, this place is so good! One of the best Italian Restaurants I've been to in a while. Great wine! Amazing food! The staff was very knowledgeable and fun! I had a chef special pork chop with truffle sauce and black truffles. So decadent, and tasty! My wife had the wild boar ravioli, which was also fantastic! We started off with mussels, barata cheese with prosciutto, and the octopus! Lastly, I had the creme brulee, and my wife had the cheese cake. All very very good. If you want authentic Italian cuisine with a down home feel. This is your spot. It's worth all the time.

We had a great experience at Baci. They accommodated our reservation for a large party in a short notice. Their service was amazing. We had plenty of attentive waiters, and we were well taken care of even with a group with kids. Their plates were amazing. Especially the filet mignon, it was perfectly seasoned and it will just melt in your mouth like butter. Ambiance was beautiful as well, our family dinner was a success thanks to Baci and Staff.

Wen there for anniversary trip and found this based on Google reviews, stars, and location to the place we were staying in the Bay. This is classic, old school Italian. It exceeded our expectations. It's on the hwy feeder road and not in SD's Little Italy, which is a good thing. They provide their (limited) free parking for diners. The service was great and professional. They gave us their multiple specials of the day and I went with their suggestion. The Cosmo was excellent for my wife but the high end Marg, was a bit meh. Would highly recommend this place for those staying in the area and not wanting to deal with the hassle of trying to find parking in the food districts.

Baci is hands down the best Italian restaurant in San Diego! Everything is crafted to offer an exceptional dining experience—from the warm and inviting ambiance to the outstanding service and remarkable food. The menu is simply a masterpiece. And the daily specials take it to another level. Each dish is beautifully presented, with perfect timing between courses to enjoy the flavors. The taste? Absolutely jaw-dropping. The grilled octopus, pasta with lamb ragu, Osso Buco, and finally, the crème brûlée were all outstanding and delicious. Baci is a must-visit for any Italian food lover—or anyone who appreciates great food, excellent service, and a cozy ambiance.
